  • Curses And Covens Card Game

    Curses And Covens Card Game

Curses & Covens is an all vs one game where one player takes on the role as the witch hunter, while all other players are towns trying to protect the friendly witches! The aim of the witch hunter is to capture 5 witches, while the towns want to form a coven of three witches of the same suit in one player's hand to win.

The player playing the witch hunter will be trying to keep track of where the cards are and pushing their luck to try and collect them. The other players play as the towns and are on the side of the witches. They are playing a game of bluffing and silent cooperation as they try to outsmart the witch hunter. The game plays through four main phases. The census, the arrival, the journey, and the hunt. These repeat until one side has won. The census phase is the only time where the towns players are able to communicate freely. During the other phases communication is limited. The hunt phase involves the witch hunter player drawing cards blindly from other players hands, trying to capture witches and avoid rituals.

    Land Vs Sea Board Game

    Land Vs Sea Board Game

Part puzzle, part game. Play as either Land or Sea (or the Cartographer in a 3-player game). Each player plays with 2 double-sided hex tiles containing a mix of land and sea shapes. They take turns placing a tile each to make a map together. Land places tiles trying to complete land areas, and Sea places tiles trying to complete sea areas. Completed areas score a point per tile; land areas for Land, sea areas for Sea. Some tiles score bonus points for whoever completes the area they are in. So players may decide to strategically complete rival's areas to gain their bonus points. Other tiles allow players to play their second tile, or steal a player's tile - but not their last one!

Using 2 double-sided tiles (one side always revealed and the other always hidden until played) means there is partial information to plan around, and some surprises too. Players replenish back up to 2 tiles from a choice of 2 face-up tile stacks. The strategy of the game involves careful tile placement to score from as many land or sea areas as possible, while minimizing your rivals' opportunities to score from the tiles you play. Watch your rivals' possible plays, and control tempo strategically with Play Again and Steal tiles. Look out for opportunities to score valuable bonus points in your and your rivals' areas. Carefully select tiles as you replenish your hand to prepare for your next turn. The game ends once the last tile is placed. The player or team with the most points wins. The basic Land vs Sea game is simple enough for light / family gamers. After you have played the basic game, you can unlock more scoring options on the tiles to add surprising depth: 1. Mountain & Coral scoring - score for cumulative chains of connected Mountain (Land) / Coral (Sea) sections. 2. Caravan & Ship scoring - score for Caravans & Ships added to Trade Routes on the map, and score each Trade Route you have majority in (more Caravans scores the Trade Route for Land, more Ships for Sea) at the end of the game. 3. Waypoints - bonus points you can place on the map to entice cooperation, or score for yourself. 2-, 3- & 4-player modes: You can play head to head with 2 players, or with 4 players in teams using the basic rules and any of the additional scoring options. 4 player games use Waypoints to prevent alpha players directly instructing their partner. The challenging 3-player mode uses all of the additional scoring options in a more asymmetric game. The Cartographer scores by connecting Mountain and Coral sections, and all players compete for bonus points and Trade Route scoring.

    Skyward Republic Board Game (Pre-Order)

    Skyward Republic Board Game (Pre-Order)

Skyward Republic Board Game picks up where Skyward left off. In just four short years, Skyward has become a bustling metropolis of humans and robots living and working side by side. The Wardens have successfully launched their city into the sky, but what do you do once you've achieved the impossible?

The Airborne City is now a culture in its own right, and the cultural luminaries have declared the city a Republic. To mark their independence from the old ways, the Wardens will construct an entirely new district showcasing the technological, cultural and economic achievements of Skyward. The four factions will cooperate to show off everything they've achieved so far, and together, look to the future of the Republic.

In Skyward Republic Board Game, players build a sky city together. As they do, they aim to score the most victory points (VPs) from Buildings, Extensions, Vehicles and Critters launched into their airspace, and from Benefactors whose requirements they can meet by building Buildings and Extensions to match Benefactors' resource requirement icons during the game. Benefactors also grant useful bonus abilities.

Players gain cards to launch through a ?flip or pick' open draft method that incrementally adds cards to the card piles on offer to the players, building the pressure to pick them early. They then use Faction (resource) cards they draft and cog tokens they earn or produce to pay for cards and launch (build) them into their airspaces.

Play continues over multiple rounds, until one player has 8 Buildings in their airspace. After adding end game bonus points from their leftover cogs, and some cards, the player with the most VPs at the end of the game wins.

Skyward Republic Board Game reimplements Skyward with twice as many cards, an all new draft method suited to multiplayer drafting, larger tableaus of combinational card abilities and a race to gain Benefactors bonus points and abilities as you play.
